Personality:
Toku is a one man's horse thus has absolute loyalty to only one person and that's Fumino. She is his one and only master and will do anything for her. He will also obey only her commands and if separated from her, will do his best to return to her side. Since he will only obey Fumino's commands, he is very defiant towards others and will not obey them if he doesn't want to. Expect him to retaliate either verbally or physically if you try to force your will onto him. This defiant behavior usually gets him in trouble especially with the staff and periodically the trainers.
He is also very free spirited and full of energy, never staying in one spot for long and always running instead of walking. He especially loves running outside under sun, feeling the breeze. Of course he'll stay in one spot to properly serve clients but to him serving clients is just a means of survival. He'd much rather do something else.
While Toku is rebellious and somewhat cold to authorities, he does have a softer side to him. To the other pets, he's friendly and respectful. He won't do anything his friends/ comrades wouldn't like and is willing to help them out when they need it. However, Toku isn't really a social butterfly but he's not reclusive either. He enjoys having matches with others and gets very competitive when it comes to racing. He takes pride in his speed so someone beating him in a race would almost be like an insult to him.

History:
Toku lived with his human master prior to coming to Eden d'Ys. She was an 18 year old girl by the name of Fumino. Toku first met the girl when she was 10 years old, making Toku 15 at the time. She understood Toku's need for freedom and would let him roam where ever he wished and only called him when she needed him. She was very kind to him, took good care of him, and showed him affection which led Toku to stay by her side, even when he wasn't summoned. Having spent so many years together, the two became very close (not in a romantic way).
However, there were others that had their eyes on Toku. He was known for being one of the fastest runners around and a few shady people (for lack of better words) saw him as something worth value. Despite knowing that he was owned by Fumino, they kidnapped Toku while Fumino was away at school. Toku violently fought back but he was eventually brought down with a tranquilizer and taken away.

When he awoke, he found himself in chains and caged up. In panic he bashed against the iron bars in a desperate attempt to get out. It wasn't until a few minutes had passed that he noticed two men standing on either side of his cage. He demanded to be released and sent back to Fumino but there was no response. Frustrated, he bashed against the cage some more in vain. After an hour, Toku slumped to the ground exhausted. With the male finally calmer, one of the men explained to him that he was currently in the black market. Toku could only stare in shock. How long had he been out? What about Fumino?! She'd be worried sick by now! Before he could say anything more, the other man gagged Toku and drugged him so that he wouldn't lash out against potential buyers.

For a few days, Toku remained in that cage in the black market. He was poorly fed and had little strength in him left thanks to the drug still taking effect. It was during this time that the Master found Toku. Taking pity on him for the state that he was in, he bought Toku from the dealer and took him to Eden d'Ys. Toku regained his strength after getting properly fed and immediately tried to escape from the resort. However do to the tracker, he was immediately caught and punished. It didn't stop Toku though. To this day, Toku still tries to escape in hopes of one day reuniting with his former master.
